The Best Coffee Shops in Lanzarote

The Best Coffee Shops in Lanzarote

Ada Vidodo

I loooove loove looove coffee. Genuinely love it. Multiple cups a day, trying new beans, caring way too much about extraction times, that's just who I am. Living in Lanzarote has been great for feeding this addiction because the island has some seriously good coffee shops in Lanzarote that I have made it my mission to find and return to regularly.

So if you are looking for t he best cafes in Lanzarote, the ones locals actually frequent and genuinely enjoy, you are in the right place. I'm going to share my favorite spots for specialty coffee in Lanzarote  based on way too many caffeine-fueled adventures around the island.

Best Coffee Shops and Best Cafes in Costa Teguise

OPPA Specialty Coffee & Goodies

You’ll find them at Avenida Islas Canarias 3 in Costa Teguise. They’re open from 9am till 2pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and from 9am till 3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Closed Wednesday and Thursday.

OPPA is where I go when I want specialty coffee Costa Teguise done properly. They're doing real V60 pour-overs, single-origin espresso, and cold brew from high-end rotating beans. I love that the baristas actually care about what they're making, you can tell from the way they explain their beans and take their time with each cup.

What keeps me coming back is the consistency. Whether I'm trying their latest single-origin or sticking with my usual, it's always good. They have also got plant-based milks that does not taste sad, and light sandwiches when I need something small to eat. It's easily one of  the best coffee shops in Costa Teguise.

Best Coffee Shops and Best Cafes in Puerto del Carmen

Café La Ola

Café La Ola is on the Avenida de las Playas, Puerto del Carmen seafront and they are open late morning through late evening, around 11 AM - 1 AM and later on weekends.

I love Café La Ola for those days when I need my coffee with an ocean view.Their espresso is bold and well-extracted, and their lattes are creamy without being the usual tourist mediocrity you would expect from a beachfront place.

The location is unbeatable for people-watching and ocean staring, which is exactly what I need sometimes. It is one of the best coffee shops in Puerto del Carmen for that perfect beach day coffee break.

Café Mocca

Café Mocca is on the  Avenida de las Playas, CC Jameos 100, Local 75 (opposite Seaside Los Jameos Playa), Puerto del Carmen, and is open from 9:30 AM till 4 PM (closed on the weekend).

I love stopping here for a solid cappuccino and their cakes when I'm in Los Pocillos. It's one of those easy, consistent spots that's perfect for a chill morning coffee without any fuss.

The vibe is relaxed, the coffee is reliable, and it's a great brunch in Lanzarote.

Best Coffee Shops and Best Cafes in Playa Blanca

Simple & Natural

It is located in the Centro Comercial El Pueblo, Local 11, Playa Blanca and they are  open from  Monday to Friday from 9 AM till 4 PM, closed on the weekend.

Simple & Natural is my go-to in Playa Blanca when I want clean, smooth lattes in a vegan and gluten-free setting. I love that they keep it simple but don't compromise on quality, their espresso is clean, their matcha lattes are surprisingly good.

It's become one of the best cafes in Playa Blanca for me because I can rely on it. Good coffee, real food, friendly vibe, no drama. If I'm staying in Playa Blanca, this is the place I come back to all week.

Le Moka Patisserie

Le Moka Patisserie is on the Calle Irlanda 9, Local 2, Playa Blanca and they are open Every day from 8:30 AM till 2 PM, minus Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Le Moka is dangerous for my self-control. Their flat whites are expertly balanced, their espresso is precision-pulled, and then there are the French pastries that I absolutely cannot resist. I love the French café energy they bring to Playa Blanca,it feels a bit fancy but not overly so.

This is one of those coffee shop Playa Blanca Lanzarote spots where I go when I want coffee made with actual care and attention. The microfoam is perfect, the pastries are tempting, and I have never had a bad experience here.

Best Coffee in Teguise (The Historic Gem)

JonnieBakes Artisan Bakery & Café

It is on the Avenida Gran Aldea 76, Teguise and is open from Wednesday till Sunday from 9:30 AM till 1 PM and closed Monday and Tuesday.

JonnieBakes is that perfect combination of excellent coffee and fresh bakery goods in one of Lanzarote's prettiest towns. I love their cortados, perfectly pulled every single time, and the fresh artisan croissants are some of the best on the island.

The historic Teguise setting makes the whole experience even better. It's one of the best coffee shops in Lanzarote for that classic European café-bakery vibe done right. Just remember to go early since they close at 1 PM.

Best Coffee in Arrecife (The Capital)

Café Gernika

It is on the Calle Ginés de Castro y Álvarez 4, Arrecife and is open from Mon til Sat from 8:30 AM till 6 PM

Café Gernika is my simple, everyday Arrecife spot. I love it because it feels genuinely local—no fancy single-origin rotations, just excellent traditional Spanish cortado and café con leche with homemade cakes. It's Lanzarote coffee shops at their most authentic.

This is where I go when I want reliable quality without any fuss. The prices are reasonable, the coffee is consistently good, and the homemade cakes are a bonus. It's central, easy, and does the everyday café thing really well.

Best Coffee in Puerto Calero (Marina Views)

Café Lounge

It is located in Puerto Calero, Plaza Las Carpas and  they are open: Every day, 9 AM - 10 PM

I love Café Lounge for the marina setting. Sitting outside with a cappuccino while watching the boats is one of those simple pleasures that makes living on an island feel special. Their baristas know what they're doing, and the filter coffee is solid.

It's got that relaxed upscale vibe, you can enjoy good coffee and beautiful boat views without any of the stuffy marina restaurant energy.

If You Want Coffee in the Actual Volcanic Setting

If you're up at Jameos del Agua (the volcanic caves in the north), there are places to eat and drink inside of it. The restaurant service is daily from 10 PM - 4:45 PM. That's the real "coffee in a volcanic environment" experience.
