Holiday mode on Lanzarote

Ada Vidodo

Holiday time is here! Best part of the year where you stop rushing and start enjoying the simple things, and Lanzarote is the perfect place for that. The island is not too small, not too big but exactly the ideal size, so you can explore a lot in a few days while still being in your ultimate relaxing state.

If you want an easy plan that works even in the windy times, here is my go-to mix.

Playa de famara is one of the most dramatic beaches on the island, huge, wild, and absolutely beautiful for long walks and sunset views.

Quick pro tip before you go, check Windguru Famara:

  • Long wind … perfect for relaxing, walking, and enjoying the sea air.
  • High wind … the beach turns into a fun spot for surfing and kitesurfing

Small safety tip tho: waves and currents can be strong, so if you´re with kids, stay cautious near the water and don’t assume its a calm swimming beach everyday.

Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park: the easiest ``yes´´day for families

If you are travelling with kids or just want a guaranteed fun day then Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park is a must. It is one of those places where everyone finds something they like: shows, animals and a waterpark with slides!!!

Little schedule tip: go earlier, take a lunch break and then to end the day the waterpark dor a cool down.

Windy afternoon in Arrecife? Two easy backups

Some days when you want to return to civilization and decide to leave the beach day for tomorrow you can always have these two options in your back pocket.

  • Cine Atlántico Lanzarote (Arrecife): perfect for an easy evening. Pro tip: check the Events section in Vidodo Guide to see when English-language movies are showing.

  • Or if your kids need a ‘shopping moment’ (like you browsing Zara), take them to Toy Planet Lanzarote and let them browse happily.

Make it effortless with VidodoGuide, whether you are staying in a hotel, apartment, or with friends, VidodoGuide helps you enjoy Lanzarote without overthinking: quick tips, nearby events, ready made routes and easy planning.

That 's it. Go out, relax, and let us do the rest.

What Is a Verbena in Lanzarote? A Tourist Guide to Local Summer Nights
You will see the word verbena on a fiesta poster and wonder what it means. It is not a concert, not a club and not quite a village party either. It is all three and none of them at the same time: a late-night local celebration with live music, dancing, food, neighbours, families, visitors and the kind of atmosphere you only really understand once you are standing in the square.
