Puerto del Carmen Carnival 2026: Official day by day guide. February 19th till 22nd

If you are googling Lanzarote dates while holding iced coffee and pretending you are just browsing… same. Here is the offciacil guide to Puerto del Carmen 2026, zero guessing, so you do not show up on the wrong day and stare at an empty square like it is performance art.

The theme is: Los Locos años 20 (Roaring 20s). Expect a lot of feathers and glitter.

This is part of Carnival Lanzarote 2026, but Puerto del Carmen has its own vibe. It has seaside energy, walkable everything and schedule that is gamily friendly and proper party by night.

So, let us start with the first date:

Friday 20th. Traditional Carnival, the cultural “this is the real deal” day.

Where: Parade route and then Varadero

  • 17:00 Carnival Tradicional parade from Playa Chica towards Plaza del Varadero with classic groups like Los Buches and Diabletes de Teguise.

  • 20:30 DJ Ángel Pérez

  • 21:30 the Concert with Kinito Médez

  • 23:00 Verbena with DJ Diego Sánchez and orquesta Armonía Show and Combo Dominicano

Saturday 21st of February: The big parade day

Where: the Parade route and then Varadero

  • 17:00 Parade along Avenida de las Playas (route: Hotel Barcelona Club towards Fariones Playa)

  • 20:30 the Big verbena at Plaza del Varadero with Dani Valiente y su Banda, Armonía Show, Combo Dominicano, Rika Banda

Two tiny tips that save your mood:

  1. If you want photos arrive a bit earlier and choose a spot with a clean background (sea > random sign).

  2. If crowds stress you out, stand slightly off the busiest stretch, you will still see everything and breathe like a human.

Sunday 22nd of February. Carnaval de Día (daytime fun and family mode)

Where: Plaza del Varadero

  • 10:30 DJ Ángel Pérez and kids show (Payaso Tallarín con Cantajuego)

  • 11:30 till 13:30 Hinchables (bouncy castles)

  • 12:00 La Década Prodigiosa

  • 13:30 Orquesta Mambo Latino

  • 15:00 Orquesta Rika Banda

This is best for Families, daytime vibes and people who want fun without a 2am recovery plan.

Quick cheat sheet. Which day should you choose

  • Culture and tradition, then Friday 20th

  • Bigger spectacle, then Saturday 21st

  • Daytime and family, then Sunday 22nd

  • Chill opening night, then Thursday 19th
