Lady, Lady, Lady — A poetic journey of identity and memory

On Friday, November 28, 2025, the spectacular Cueva de los Verdes hosts Lady, Lady, Lady, a theatrical monologue starring Canary Islands actress Lola Rodríguez (Veneno, Vestidas de azul), directed by Pedro Ayose with a script by Sara García Pereda. The piece, selected as part of the 2025 Cultural Projects Call by Lanzarote’s Art, Culture and Tourism Centers, is an intimate and poetic journey into island adolescence, identity, and family secrets.

At just seven years old, a girl is diagnosed with a spine shaped like a question mark—a symbol of the uncertain life ahead. Blending theatrical storytelling, poetic movement, and audiovisual language, this powerful monologue follows the story of a woman navigating silence, friendship, desire, and emotional heritage from the heart of the archipelago.

Lady, Lady, Lady gives voice to the stories of Canarian women and landscapes, reclaiming accent, folklore, and local culture through a deeply human narrative.
