Ritmos del Mundo — Music and Dance from Around the Globe

Playa Blanca comes alive this weekend with the first edition of Ritmos del Mundo, a multicultural festival celebrating music and dance from five continents. The event takes place on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 November 2025 from 17:00 in Plaza del Carmen, with free admission.

Friday is dedicated to international dance, featuring ten performances with rhythms from South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Europe. Highlights include the group Hayati, presenting a fusion of traditional dances from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine.

On Saturday, the spotlight shifts to music with a lineup that includes bands from Ireland and Spain, flamenco ensembles, mariachis, and Afro-Caribbean groups. Playa Blanca will be filled with sound, rhythm, and celebration.

The festival is open to all audiences and promotes unity through cultural diversity, making it a vibrant addition to the south of Lanzarote's cultural calendar.
