A top-level string chamber music night performed by Ensemble Nexus (string octet). The programme is shaped like an emotional journey: it opens with something darker and intense, moves into a brand-new piece full of imagery, and ends with a bright, high-energy classic that feels expansive and uplifting.
At the centre is the premiere “Ángel de arena” by Canary composer Cecilia Díaz Pestano—music inspired by the sea, light, and that “first discovery” feeling. Around it you’ll hear Mozart’s dramatic string quintet and Mendelssohn’s iconic octet: fast, brilliant, and genuinely exciting live.
