the Gran Coso Carnavalero is the big, photo-perfect parade with floats, big costumes, music trucks, dance groups, and crowds dancing behind the procession. It runs right along the resort’s main strip (Avenida de las Playas), so it’s super easy for tourists: you can pick a spot early, watch the floats pass, then move toward the evening party without needing a car.
After the parade, the night switches to a classic Canarian verbena (open-air dance party) at Plaza del Varadero, featuring multiple live bands/orchestras — it’s the “stay out late and dance” part of the carnival weekend.
