San Bartolomé Carnival 2026 (Ancient Egypt)

San Bartolomé Carnival 2026 (Ancient Egypt)

public
This is the first big “kick-off” event for San Bartolomé’s 2026 carnival season. Instead of a street parade, it’s a stage-style presentation where the municipality officially introduces the carnival groups and sets the tone for the theme “Ancient Egypt”—expect pharaoh-inspired costumes, Egyptian-style makeup, dramatic colours, and lots of playful references to pyramids, gods, and mythology.

It’s the kind of evening locals go to so they can see who’s participating this year, what the costumes and ideas look like, and get that “we’re officially in carnival mode” feeling before the main street days. This date is confirmed by the Ayuntamiento, but the full detailed programme (exact show format + start time) is still pending until the official schedule is published.
