Batucada Merekumbé (drum parade through the mall) — Open Mall (Arrecife)

A live batucada (Brazilian-style percussion group) moving as a walking parade through different floors of the shopping centre. Expect loud drums, call-and-response rhythms, short stops where they play stronger, then they continue so people across the mall can catch it. Great for families and for tourists because you don’t need to “know the culture” — you just follow the sound.
