César Manrique and José Gopar: Double Documentary Bill

Two short documentaries by Concha de Ganzo in one screening. Las horas ciegas de César Manrique (24 minutes) follows Manrique during a six-hour layover in New York as he recalls the city of the 1960s. José Gopar, el artista vencido (25 minutes) traces the life of the Lanzarote painter who exhibited in New York but died forgotten. Concha de Ganzo presents both films and talks with the audience afterwards.
